    Firefighter World Games 2022

    Firefighter World Games 2022

    The Firefighter World Games are an international event that brings together firefighters from all over the world in a friendly sports competition. These games offer a unique opportunity for firefighters to showcase their athletic skills across various disciplines, while promoting a spirit of camaraderie and solidarity among the different teams, and also serve as a platform to highlight the importance of firefighters’ work and to promote the exchange of experiences and techniques among professionals from different countries.

    with the “Toughest Firefighter Alive” being the main event.

    O-Sports was responsible for the full organization of the 14th edition of the event, which took place in several areas of Greater Lisbon, with most of the event happening at the University Stadium of Lisbon from April 30 to May 7, 2022, with the participation of more than 2,000 firefighters from around the world.

    O-Sports embraced the challenge and was in charge of all the event logistics, from transportation, hotels, sports and social venues, sports management, competition schedule, media coverage, protocol and institutional partnerships.

    United Nations Inter-Agency Games 2024

    In 1968, at the invitation of the “Commission des Sports de l’Association du personnel del l’ UNESCO”, a sports meeting was held in Paris between United Nations teams from Geneva and UNESCO.

    Mr. René Maheu, Director-General of UNESCO, donated a trophy for the occasion, thus giving rise to the Inter-Agency Games, whose spirit has remained, although the current name was only adopted in 1972. However, the principle of alternating the Games began to be applied from the outset and the program included five events: chess, football, table tennis, tennis and men’s volleyball.

    With great enthusiasm, we took on the challenge of the Inter-Agency Games and welcomed around 1500 participants from 140 different countries in Lloret de Mar, in the beautiful region of Catalonia, Spain. The event took place from October 23 to 27, 2024, with the opening ceremony on the 23rd, competitions from October 22 to 26, the closing ceremony and gala on the night of the 26th, and regular departures from the 27th onwards.

    In total, competitions were held in 16 different sports:
