Life at sea

The Azores are currently known as one of the biggest cetacean sanctuaries in the world. Among resident and migratory species, common or rare, it is possible to observe 28 different species in the Sea of Azores, which equals a third of the existing species. In addition to whale and dophin watching it is possible to visit the whale watching towers which are spread out in strategic locations in various islands with surprising panoramic views.
